Aloha is a Hawaiian word used when greeting or parting from someone. In contemporary Philippine society, Filipinos greet others by using the English word “hello” or the Spanish-derived Kamusta. In parting or to bid farewell, one can use the word Paalam, though it is more colloquial to use the English-derived expression “Bah-bye.”
